I'm a certified home inspector and I agree that the home inspection industry should be regulated. The Ontario Association of Home Inspectors (OAHI) governs their members strictly and all members must go through many steps in order to become registered home inspectors. But, there should still be some government regulations put in place to protect consumers from self proclaimed home inspectors, who do not have a solid background and have not been through core educational training.
